Theatre and the Digital for an Inclusive European Youth
This Erasmus + project has been developing theatre-making, digital storytelling & online dissemination skills among migrant Youth in Italy & marginalised Youth from rural Ireland, as well as among staff & facilitators. The process aims to raise participants’ awareness of diversity & their engagement in active European citizenship.
There was an initial workshop in Cork during April 2025, which acquainted Irish Youth & facilitators from the partners with intercultural theatre-making & digital storytelling as ways to explore & disseminate personal stories & ideas. These techniques were then applied with migrant Youth in Bologna during June, & the stories & ideas discovered were turned into digital outputs by Youth in both countries. These outputs are being widely disseminated through online channels, so as to deepen people’s understanding of diversity.
