Border Crossings is part of the crucial discussions about the future of theatre in Ireland and Europe:
CRE-ACTORS: Devising Theatre for an Intercultural Europe
Led by Border Crossings, CRE-ACTORS is a two-year project for 2021-2, which explores how devised theatre can develop work for intercultural societies. Artists from the world-famous Théâtre du Soleil in Paris, the innovative and socially conscious Teatro dell'Argine in Bologna, and Border Crossings in Sligo will share a series of workshops to learn about and from one another's working methods. Our Swedish dramaturgical partner, The Fence, will work with us to understand these approaches in a wider cultural context. We'll be blogging about the process and creating a handbook in response.
X-European. Negotiating Identities in the Third Space
We are delighted to be working with lead partner VHS Aalen (Germany), together with educational and cultural organisations in Turkey and Finland, on this exploration of the Third Space as a location for culture, and as an approach to cross-cultural dialogue, social integration, and democratic exchange.
Both projects are funded by the Erasmus + programme of the European Union.
